I said this to Julia over breakfast (I LOVE THAT I CAN WRITE THAT) and she kinda laughed at my enthusiasm but for real. You know how you find recipes that you like but that involve ingredients that you’d rather eat in season? And you just shrug it off because you know when the time is right to eat the recipe you’ll totally have forgotten about it? Yeah, that sucks, right?
1. SET UP A FOOD CALENDAR ON GOOGLE CALENDAR OR WRITE IN DAYPLANNER
2. WRITE DOWN COOKBOOK PG. # OR URL FOR TIME OF YEAR THAT YOU WOULD COOK THE RECIPE & MAYBE SOME OF THE INGREDIENTS
3. SET UP EMAIL REMINDER TO BE SENT TO YOU WHEN YOU WOULD WANT TO COOK THE RECIPE/CHECK DAYPLANNER EVERY DAY - MONTHLY EMAIL DIGEST OF TASTY FOOD IDEAS? OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH
4. EAT EAT EAT!
5. Maybe set yr email reminder to repeat annually? And then maybe someday you will have enough recipes to make cute seasonal cookbooks/zines etc? Right? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah.
Nothing like taking care of yr future self like that. I will post the recipe that spawned this awesome thought sometime soon.
